Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton are both in the field for the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, July 9-12, marking their first DP World Tour starts since settling outstanding fines with the tour.
The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. The two Legion XIII teammates were confirmed for the $9 million event in East Lothian, joining a field that includes world number one Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick and defending champion Chris Gotterup.
Hatton was among eight LIV players who agreed to conditional releases back in February, under terms requiring them to pay all outstanding fines, participate in a set number of DP World Tour events, and withdraw all pending appeals. Rahm did not initially join that group.

Rahm previously called the deal “extortion,” arguing the tour was benefiting from LIV players’ presence in events while also fining them. He held out for months before reaching a separate agreement in May.
Under the terms of his deal, Rahm paid all outstanding fines, previously reported to be less than $3 million, and committed to playing five DP World Tour events for the remainder of 2026.
“There’s no longer a standoff,” Rahm told reporters at LIV Golf Virginia. “We were able to reach an agreement. There were concessions on both sides. That will not be a stress anymore.”

With the dispute settled, Rahm is now eligible to earn Race to Dubai points and qualify for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, where DP World Tour membership is a requirement for Team Europe selection.
“I was never worried about Ryder Cup eligibility,” Rahm said. “There were some things I believed in that I wanted them to agree with me, and I knew it was a matter of time.”
The event sits one week before The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, making it one of the most important tuneup events of the year.
