Brooks Koepka showed up to Shinnecock Hills on Thursday in a pink Nike polo, and fans had a lot to say about it.
Koepka made back-to-back birdies on the 5th and 6th holes to reach 1 under, but finished the round at 3 over par after a double bogey on the 18th. Koepka won the last U.S. Open held at Shinnecock Hills in 2018, beating Tommy Fleetwood by one stroke to defend his 2017 title and become the last player to win back-to-back U.S. Opens.
