Ryder Cup player and major champion among 7 PGA Tour pros at risk of losing their cards

Five events remain in the FedEx Cup Fall, and some familiar names are on the wrong side of the line. Only the top 100 after the RSM Classic keep full PGA Tour status for 2027. Players finishing 101st through 125th receive conditional status.

The stretch run started Thursday at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Two stops in Mexico, an event in Austin and the RSM Classic at Sea Island follow.

Lee Hodges holds the 100th spot with 442.696 points. Here are seven notable players outside the top 100 who are not exempt for 2027, with standings entering Bermuda.

1. Lucas Glover (108th)

The 2009 U.S. Open champion has six PGA Tour wins, including back-to-back victories at the Wyndham Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship in 2023. He sits 108th with 401.352 points, 41.344 behind Hodges.

The 46-year-old has three top-20 finishes this season. He is in the field in Bermuda, where his best finish in three appearances is a T42.

2. Marco Penge (110th)

The Englishman earned his PGA Tour card through the 2025 DP World Tour and finished top five at the Valspar Championship. Injuries slowed his first season in the U.S.

Penge is 110th with 397 points. That leaves him 45.696 points behind the bubble.

3. Rasmus Højgaard (113th)

Højgaard played for Europe at the 2025 Ryder Cup. He withdrew from the Biltmore Championship and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship and missed the cut at the Bank of Utah Championship.

The Dane sits 113th. Because he withdrew from Bermuda, he has four events left to climb.

4. Neal Shipley (123rd)

Shipley was low amateur at both the 2024 Masters and the 2024 U.S. Open. He fell as low as 196th in the standings during his rookie season.

He has since finished third at the Biltmore Championship and 10th at the Bank of Utah Championship. That run moved him to 123rd, inside the conditional cutoff.

5. David Ford (125th)

Ford, 24, earned his card as the 2025 PGA Tour University valedictorian. Ankle and foot injuries limited him to 11 starts and kept him out for five months.

Per PGA Tour, the absence positions him to open 2027 on a medical extension, which would not guarantee status for the full season. In his second start back, he tied for third at the Bank of Utah Championship. He enters Bermuda at 125th.

6. Joel Dahmen (128th)

Dahmen opened 2026 with top-10 finishes at Torrey Pines and PGA National. A slump since then has dropped him to 128th.

That puts him three spots outside even conditional status. He needs to climb at least to 125th to keep partial access to PGA Tour events in 2027.

7. Luke Clanton (137th)

Clanton, 22, has made 10 cuts in 21 starts this season. He entered the FedEx Cup Fall at 147th.

A T7 at the Bank of Utah Championship moved him to 137th. He would need to gain 12 spots just to reach conditional status.

The final FedEx Cup Fall standings will be set after the RSM Classic in November.
