Matt Kendrick has stepped down as CEO of Good Good Golf, according to a memo seen by Business Insider. President Joe Flannery is also parting ways with the company. Nahid Giga, a Good Good co-founder and early investor, will step in as interim CEO effective immediately.
Alex Puchala, who leads finance and operations at Good Good, notified staff of the decision directly. He called it a difficult day for the company, saying Kendrick “helped build something extraordinary that exceeded all expectations” and brought countless new fans to the sport. What started as a small group of friends playing golf, he wrote, has grown into a global community.
Puchala said Giga’s appointment is meant to provide stability through the transition, and that Garrett Clark and the rest of the creator team will continue producing content as usual. Puchala will remain COO and CFO, overseeing day-to-day operations. He added that the company is encouraged by continued support from the Good Good community and remains focused on its next chapter.

The moves come as fallout continues from a controversial ad for a co-branded Callaway driver. The ad featured Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark shoving fellow creator Alexis Miestowski and was widely criticized for depicting violence against women. Good Good deleted the ad after backlash, but Callaway ended the partnership anyway.

Kendrick publicly criticized Callaway on X after the split, accusing the company of asking Good Good to take the fall for an ad Callaway had approved. Good Good had already fired members of its marketing team responsible for the ad.
Retailers Dick’s, Golf Galaxy and PGA Tour Superstore had already pulled Good Good merchandise amid the backlash, and Golf Channel canceled the season of its Big Break x Good Good series after Good Good stepped away as title sponsor of the PGA Tour’s new Good Good Championship.
