Brad Dalke Leaving Good Good Due to Family Health Issues

Brad Dalke is leaving Good Good Golf. The YouTube star announced the decision Thursday in an emotional video, citing ongoing family health issues involving his wife, Abbie.

Brad and Abbie have dealt with two miscarriages and an ocular stroke Abbie suffered in early December that caused temporary blindness and left her with permanent 40 percent vision loss in her left eye. Doctors later determined the stroke was caused by a hole in her heart. She underwent successful surgery on June 1.

Dalke said the past eight months of trying to balance his career with being present for his wife pushed him to make the call.

“I just feel like I didn’t live up to par when it comes to being a husband for Abbie throughout this whole process, and that kills me inside,” Dalke said in the video. “In this life in general, but also in this industry, you can get pulled in so many different directions. You have to film here, you have this obligation here, you got to go golf with someone here. I just want to be centered with Abbie. I want to be centered with our future family.”

“She’s my girl. She’s my everything. She’s my rock. I hate the fact that she has to go through all of this, and I hate the fact she has had to go through a lot of this a lot of the time without her husband. I don’t want that to happen again.”

Dalke joined Good Good Golf three years ago and became one of the biggest names in YouTube golf. He won Barstool Sports’ inaugural Internet Invitational, co-launched Good Good Pros with Sean Walsh, and has received sponsor invites to several professional events, including the BMW International Open, the Rocket Classic, and the first Good Good Championship scheduled for this November.

Dalke confirmed he and Abbie will still travel to Germany next month for the BMW International Open. His involvement with the Rocket Classic, Good Good Championship, and YGT, the new YouTube golf tour where he was set to serve as one of four team captains, is unclear.

What matters most is that Abbie is doing well and on the road to recovery. According to Dalke, most of the worst-case scenarios are now behind them and they can begin looking to start their family once again.
