Wyndham Clark won the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills on Sunday, finishing wire-to-wire to claim his second U.S. Open title. The club that did the most damage all week was a brand new one.
Clark recently signed an exclusive putter deal with Ping, becoming one of the rare players in the company’s history to ink a standalone putter contract.
The putter is a Ping Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset model. Clark has now won two of his last four events since making the switch.
Clark’s specific setup is custom: 38 inches long, Superstroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 grip, with a head weight of approximately 400 grams with additional lead tape on the sole, a 70-degree lie angle, and 3 degrees of loft.

The putter features Ping’s Eye Q alignment technology, developed using Tobii eyetracking glasses to study how golfers process alignment cues before a stroke. The design uses high-contrast lines and a dot at the end to focus the eyes on a singular point before impact, a method Ping calls Quiet Eye.
The putter is an onset design, meaning it is not zero-torque despite its appearance. Ping’s design philosophy holds that pulling the center of gravity toward the target maximizes stability and forgiveness, a principle dating back to company founder Karsten Solheim.

“Since switching to the PING Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter in April, I’ve seen significant improvement in my putting,” Clark said. “The white finish first got my attention and when I started rolling putts with it, it set up easily, and gave me immediate confidence. I’d never used a putter with onset before, so it was a new look for me that really matches my eye. The onset combined with the top-rail dot simplifies alignment.”
Clark won his second U.S. Open title on Sunday at Shinnecock Hills. He captured his first at LACC in 2023.
